From the beginning we have seen Microsoft supporting developers and jail-breakers instead of going after them which has played a vital role in the success of WP7. Now Microsoft has taken it one step further by making it easier for developers to get Microsoft Developers Phone by participating with Zones. This will allow developers to buy unsubsidized Windows Phones with no carrier contract, but the phones are still locked.
Currently they are only offering 3 versions of WP7 which includes HTC HD7, Samsung Focus and HTC Surround.
