After months of speculation and rumors, Sony has finally announced a date for the release of Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, also know as PlayStation Phone because of it’s PlayStation like keypad. Sony Press Center today announced that they will be revealing the new handset on February 13th at World Mobile Congress in Barcelona.
Its specs and features has already been revealed which includes:
- Android Gingerbread
- 4 inch Multitouch LCD Display
- 5 megapixel camera with LED flash
- 512mb of RAM
- Single core CPU & GPU
- Micro SD, SIM and micro USB slots
- Built in WIFI, Bluetooth 2.1
- FM Radio
This announcement of Sony Ericsson Xperia Play comes soon after Sony announced its high performance PlayStation Portable 2. Keep in mind that Sony has already announced that they will be launching the PlayStation Store for most of the Android devices at the end of 2011, which will allow developers to port their games to PlayStation Store.
