If you’re a geo-location fanatic and are accustomed to using Foursquare and Facebook Places to check-in to your favourite venues, here is something entirely unique for you. Consider the possibility of checking in to the above mentioned services from the comfort of your wrist watch? Well that’s a reality now, courtesy of the people at inPulse smart watch.
Basically, this is a hack which allows inPulse smart watch users to check into Facebook Places and Foursquare by easily tapping a button on their watch. The app requires you to connect the inPulse smart watch via Bluetooth to an Android smartphone to work, however it can be a feasible extension to the standard API the devices use to check-in to Foursquare and Facebook Places.
The inPulse smart watch will look for nearby places to use for check in and will then connect to the service, whether Foursquare or Facebook Places to complete the check-in process. See the hack in action, in this video.
The code for this hack can be found here.
You can also purchase an inPulse smart watch from here.
