Microsoft Xbox GM Rahul Sood Recommends An Apple Notebook To Every PC Industry Exec

Voodoo founder and former HP CTO Rahul Sood just loves controversy. Previously, he had been criticized for cutting a cake with his MacBook Air while being at HP. His current job now, is at Microsoft, where he is the GM Xbox, and even working at Apple’s arch rival hasn’t ended his love for Apple. Rahul Sood believes that every person in the PC industry should use an Apple notebook. Details, after the break.

Rahul Sood TweetHe tweeted the message posted above whilst being a Microsoft exec, that’s what’s intriguing, given the fact that Microsoft and Apple have decades long rivalry in the industry.

Personally, I thought Rahul Sood would arrive at Microsoft the next morning to see his desk packed up. However, it seems like Rahul’s comments were not actually geared towards Microsoft, they were targeted towards the PC industry in general, which has not been able to wholly compete with Apple in that particular arena.

Nevertheless, it should also be kept in mind that primarily, Apple is a hardware company whereas Microsoft is essentially a software company, so he might not get in trouble for that.

It seems interesting that PC industry execs are even inspired by what Apple produces. Let us see if more industry execs realise that they don’t need to produce a machine that matches or comes close to what Apple makes, rather they need to make something which Apple hasn’t.

True, apple does make a nice looking product, but so do other brands. The difference being Apple produces all of their OS software internally. It is funny that other companies have not followed suit.

The entire Microsoft/Apple feud is rather pointless, since as the article so clearly explained, Apple is a hardware company, while Microsoft deals simply with Software.

The comment is justified simply because it is a product and execs need products. Besides, Windows can run off any Mac, this we all know, and personally I do not enjoy the Mac OS, but their system performance ranks speak for themselves. Windows 7/Mac hybrid? Well, that to me seems like a perfect compromise.

Hasn’t it been said for years that the best Windows machine you can buy is an Apple? With Mac products you really can have your cake and eat it too, being able to run OS X, Windows and Linux all natively on the same machine.

Really I think the point he was making is that he PC vendors should actually assess what Apple is doing with their products.

    That’s it! Don’t follow, lead!
Each time Apple brings out a new toy there’s a rumble in the distance caused by 1000 photocopiers firing up. Just the rumor of the iPad pushed Microsoft into creating the Courier concept tablet.
How about some original wonderful stuff from those very expensive and impressively staffed R&D divisions, guys?
