Yesterday at the iPad 2 launch event Apple finally unviled the next version of iTunes, iTunes 10.2. Now we know that many users who have Jailbroken iPhones, iPads or iPod Touch want to try this new version out but were hesitating. No need to worry people as the famous iPhone Hacker of iPhone Dev Team Muscle Nerd has confirmed that this update doesn’t cause any problems with jailbreaking process and you can upgrade to iTunes 10.2.
According to Muscle Nerd:
Today’s iTunes 10.2 is safe for JBers (syncs fine, doesn’t break DFU JB tools or afc2, allows shift/opt-Restore etc)
This means that the new upgrade which will be arriving on March 11th will be compatible with the new iOS 04.03. This does not effect the synchronization process, DFU mode, downgrading using saved SHSH blobs or manually resetting afc2 relevant for the Jailbreak.
