Enable Multitasking in Windows Phone 7 Devices [Hack]

The first official Windows Phone 7 update will bring Multitasking and IE9 for all WP7 devices. However, now there’s a hack that allows you to enable Multitasking, of sorts, on your Windows Phone 7 device. This hack, also called Instant Resuming, was first discovered by Jaxbot.

Enable Multitasking in Windows Phone 7

In simple terms, what this hack does is that it disables the “Resuming…” phase when you return to application in Windows Phone 7. This hack will not only disable that phase, but will also instantly take you back to the point you started from.

In not so simple terms, this hack disables the dehydration function of the task host. Regardless of how you choose to understand this, the hack will allow you to instantly jump between applications, text messages, and lock screens by eliminating the need to wait for the application to reload.
