Just like iH8sn0w released Sn0wbreeze 2.5.1 for Windows with added support for Animate – custom boot logo, the iPhone Dev Team has also updated Redsn0w 0.9.6 for both Windows and Mac. Redsn0w 0.9.6rc11 is now available for download and brings the ability to enable animate – custom boot logo on iOS 4.3.1 untethered jailbroken devices.

The procedure to jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 untethered on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch hasn’t changed in redsn0w 0.9.6rc11. The procedure is similar to that of the previous release. Here’s how to jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 untethered using Redsn0w 0.9.6rc11.

How To Enable Custom Animated Boot Logo On Untethered Jailbroken iOS 4.3.1

Redsn0w 0.9.6rc11 also brings the ability to enable custom animated boot logo on your iOS 4.3.1 untethered jailbroken iDevice. If you’ve previously jailbroken your device using the last release of redsn0w 0.9.6, you just simply need to rerun the jailbreak with redsn0w 0.9.6rc11.

Step 1: Simply check Allow boot animation to enable custom animated boot logo on your device. Remember to uncheck Install cydia in order to avoid a package conflict with the previous jailbreak.

Step 2: Fire up Cydia and search for Apple Boot Logo. Once it comes up, install it and voila! You now have custom animated boot logo on your iOS 4.3.1 jailbroken device.

Step 3: Search for themes that suit your liking. Simply search for BootLogo in Cydia and download whatever theme you like. To activate that theme, go to Settings and activate it from the new BootLogo menu.
