How To Transfer Files Between iPhone and Android

A really cool, upcoming application has caught our eye. iStartApp developed FileXChange will let you exchange files that you have on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch with many different platforms. Transferring files across platforms will be as easy as clicking once only. FileXChange will send files from your iOS device to any Windows, Mac, Linux and Android device. Hence it will end the need of using iTunes every time when you need to transfer files on your device.

It turns out, FileXChange is pretty easy to use. One of the great things about this app is that it will transfer files across your devices using either Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, whichever you wish. This app adds yet another feature to your iOS device, which will now function as a flash drive to store all of your important files.

FileXChange has the following features:

  • Very easy to use: intuitive graphics and video tutorial
  • File transfer is via Wi-Fi or via Bluetooth
  • Transfer files to and from major operating systems, including Android
  • Function email, zip and unzip
  • Data protection via password
  • High-speed transfer

FileXChange supports the following formats:

  • PDF (. Pdf)
  • Numbers (. Numbers)
  • Pages (. Pages)
  • PowerPoint (. Ppt)
  • Main image formats (. Png,. Jpg,. Gif and others)
  • Major audio formats (. Mp3,. Wav,. Aif and more)
  • Major video formats (. Mp4,. M3v. Mov and others)

The developer’s website says that FileXChange for iOS is coming soon. We’ll be reporting as that, as soon as it hits the App Store for download.

    I was hoping for bluetooth file transfer with android. Unfortunately, its still limited to idevices only.

    Well Apple is silly for preventing android phones from connecting via bluetooth. It just means I need to email pictures to my friends.

    And it certainly doesn’t make me want an iphone just to be compatible. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. I won’t buy an apple because of nonsense like this.
