Following up on our extensive previous coverage of Windows 8 leaks and news, we now bring you leaked screenshots of the Immersive Browser UI in Windows 8. This particular feature can be unlock in the leaked Windows 8 build 7955, alongside Ribbon UI, TaskUI, the new dedicated Webcam app and Modern Reader.
The screenshots were originally made available to Neowin. These screenshots show a Metro UI inspired immersive UI for the browser in Windows 8. Microsoft uses typography-based design languages that the company itself created. Metro is Microsoft’s code name for that design language. Metro was primarily used in Media Center and was fully used in Zune. Windows Phone 7 devices fully capitalize on the Metro UI.
No juicy details of the immersive browser in Windows 8 have been revealed as yet. The screenshot only shows the Back, Forward, Refresh and Favorite buttons with the address bar in the middle. Favicons are showed in tiles.
