Sprint iPhone Release Possible Soon?

There’s a big possibility that the iPhone may be coming to Sprint soon. It has previously been rumored that the iPhone 5 will support all carriers in the U.S. While we’re still not sure whether we’ll see the iPhone 4 on Sprint or will the iPhone 5 be released on all carriers simultaneously, its definitely good to see that Sprint may offer the iPhone as well.

The news originated from StopitAT&T, which noticed an Apple job opening for a Carrier Engineering team member in the Missouri area of Kansas City.

Location Kansas City, MO

Member of the Carrier Engineering team that supports taking products through technical approval at the carriers. A Carrier Engineer team is responsible for day-to-day technical interactions with the one or more carriers to track down issues reported by the carrier, assist the carrier with testing they might be conducting and working with program management, software development and test teams to get products approved by the carriers.

So why should a job posting be of so utmost importance? Well, as it turns out, Sprint is based in Kansas City. A job opening of this sort is likely to fuel suspicion that Sprint may be entering Apple’s list of carriers who offer the iPhone.

Previously, when AT&T bought T-Mobile USA, it was speculated that T-Mobile USA would be getting the iPhone as well. However, T-Mobile USA clarified that it wasn’t getting the iPhone as yet. What the future holds for both Sprint and T-Mobile USA, time will tell.
