Reports indicate that a 64GB iPhone 4 release could be coming soon after all. When the iPhone 4 was initially launched, a 64GB iPhone 4 was rumored but it never saw the light of the day. If these tips are anything to go by, we might see a 64GB iPhone 4 release after all.
Apple won’t have any difficulties as such in manufacturing the 64GB iPhone 4 as the fourth-generation iPod touch, to which Steve Jobs refers to as “an iPhone without a phone” already comes in 64GB flavor.
The memo shown above is being circulated by a third party Verizon reseller named Russell Cellular in which a 64GB iPhone 4 is explicitly mentioned. While there is a possibility that this may have been just a typing error, we beg to differ.
The reasons due to which a 64GB iPhone 4 release may be possible are many. First, Apple wouldn’t have to go through much in order to manufacture 64GB iPhone 4. With the next-generation iPhone release slated for early 2012, it can be possible that Apple pushes out an iPhone 4 with upgraded storage capacity. The white iPhone 4 just came out a month ago, and if Apple didn’t want to release any variant of the iPhone before the iPhone 5, then it wouldn’t have released the white iPhone 4 as well. Also, we’ve noticed some hushed up activity in Apple Retail Stores, could a 64GB iPhone 4 be released at Apple Retail’s 10th anniversary?
All of these signs point at a possible 64GB iPhone 4 release. However, one may argue why Apple did not release a 64GB iPhone 4 when it rolled out the white one earlier this month. Nevertheless, lets wait and see when Apple officially announces the 64GB iPhone 4, IF it’s ever going to do it.
