It has been learnt that the much awaited iPad 2 jailbreak release is expected to occur in the next three weeks. Veence, who has considerable intelligence when it comes to jailbreak news claims that Joshua Hill of the Chronic Dev Team has put the iPad 2 jailbreak release ETA at 3 weeks. The news is definitely going to be welcomed by the lot that waits for the iPad 2 jailbreak and has till now just seen fake iPad 2 jailbreaks.
Also confirmed is the fact that Greenpois0n is not going to jailbreak iPad 2, rather the Chronic Dev Team is creating an entirely different program that will be used to jailbreak iPad 2.

The tweet was made regarding a jailbreak tweak that turns iPad 3G into an iPhone. Veence suggests that this can work on the second generation iPad as well, provided that p0sixninja dumps the iPad 2 bootrom. A tweet from p0sixninja may substantiate this claim after all:

Those this tweet is pretty vague and can have a lot of meanings, there’s definitely an obvious purpose for this. Previously we reported that p0sixninja had challenged Geohot to dump the A5 iPad 2 bootrom faster than he does. We’ve still not had any updates on Geohot iPad 2 jailbreak and it looks like p0sixninja may win this challenge after all.
Nevertheless, given Geohot’s discreet nature, it is likely that we hear iPad 2 jailbreak news from his end as well in the coming weeks.
