Delete Folders on iOS in One Go with a Cydia Tweak Called UnFolder!

Here’s a Cydia tweak called UnFolder which is free of cost and what it does is evident from its name. To be elaborate a little, what the app does is, shifting out all the iOS apps from the folder and then delete it, in one go!

What iOS offers currently and what has always been one of the centre of critique about iOS is the tiring process to have a folder deleted when you have to manually delete each and every file of the folder or drag every app out, one by one. On the other hand, iOS developer @FilippoBiga, who is also known for the famous jailbreak tweak called Slideaway, has developed UnFolder to simplify the process and has brought it for free.

It would no doubt be a huge plus if the tweak offered the deletion of apps as well.

UnFolder lets you put the icons in the jiggle mode and similar to the cross on apps, you’ll notice a cross on each folder, which you can tap and you’ll get a popup alert for confirmation, such as the one shown below in the image. This makes deleting a folder as easy deleting an app.

You might now ask, what happens to the apps inside the folder, right? As soon as you go for the delete action, all the apps indie the folder will be placed out of the folder, on the empty space on springboard, nearest to the actual folder location. If you’ve got a lot of apps, the apps might be moved onto the next page instead of the place where the deleted folder was.

The Cydia tweak is available at the ModMyI repository for free and has no compatibility issues with any apps, be it other Cydia applications, store apps or bookmarks.

Be sure to have jailbroken your iDevice first.

Here’s video demo to show you UnFolder in action.
