Back in 2010, Facebook users were able to add their family members to their profile page but now they can even add an expected child field to their profile page as well. This new feature which helps users add the good news of their unborn baby and share it with their friends. Once the child is added, it is appears alongside Family members on the user’s profile page.

The feature was released yesterday but on its launch, it had many problems as anyone can add their friend’s names and make fun of them on Facebook. But it appears that it has been fixed now.

DailyMail reports:

When launched on Wednesday, a glitch in the system meant practical jokers could enter their friends names as expected children.

Anyway, if you are looking about how to add the good news of your expected child, simply go to your Edit Profile from your profile page and select Friends and Family.

Before this feature was announced, what people used to do is create a new account for their upcoming baby and then maintaining those accounts till the baby was born. And if you have gone through Facebook’s terms and conditions, you will find out that only people who are over 13 years of age can have a Facebook profile. So to tackle this problem, Facebook announced this new feature so that rather than creating a new account and then adding that account as family member, they can simply add the name, photos and the expected date of birth in their profiles.

What do people think about this newly announced feature? Do you people think that this feature is something useful?
