If you’ve been an ardent gamer on the PlayStation 2 as well as the Windows PC, there is no doubt that you do not know about the phenomena that is Grand Theft Auto. We’ve seen some amazing games in the GTA series on a variety of platforms, but GTA 3 was particularly one of the most successful games on the aforementioned platforms. Now, much to Mac users delight, Grand Theft Auto 3 has been ported over to the Mac.
Crime does pay.
The hugely successful, highly controversial Grand Theft Auto franchise moves into three dimensions in the dark and seedy underworld of Liberty City.
With the freedom to go anywhere and jack anyone, Grand Theft Auto III puts the dark, intriguing and ruthless world of crime at your fingertips, if you have enough guts to take it.
The fact that over a decade has passed ever since Rockstar Games released Grand Theft Auto 3 back in 2001 and it still hasn’t lost its appeal, gives us all the more reason to be excited about the fact that its finally been ported to the Mac. Grand Theft Auto 3 was the first game in the whole franchise that was released in full 3D over 10 years back in 2001.
Most of us have grown up playing this game, so we obviously have an idea of what the gameplay of GTA 3 is like. If you haven’t played this game ever, and have a Mac, it is our strong recommendation that you download and play this. Basically, the character that you play Grand Theft Auto 3 with, is a mute and throughout the whole game, you can try as hard as you won’t but the damn thing won’t utter a single word regardless of the fact that he can wreak havoc in the whole city, steal cars, kill people and do a lot of dirty jobs for dirty people.
Grand Theft Auto 3 is nominally priced at $14.99 in the Mac App Store. Its a 705 MB download and requires you to be 17 or older to download it. You must be running Mac OS X 10.6.6 or later in order to download and play GTA 3 on your Mac machine.
Download Grand Theft Auto 3 from the Mac App Store.
