Steve Jobs Patent Threat To Android Touchscreen Products in Australia

Apple has recently once again beaten Samsung in Australia by winning the court rule by implying patents of Steve Jobs. Tech Patent-Analyst Florian Muller reports that Apple has scored a major legal win in Australia. There were two patents that were behind the courts decision, namely the first patent on “Multipoint Touchscreens” and second on touchscreen heuristics.

In more than 300 patents of the Late Steve Jobs, the second patent mentioned above(belonged to Steve Jobs) seemed strong enough, as Apple is using this in multiple lawsuits against no just Samsung but also other Android manufacturers HTC and Motorola also.

The Tech Patent-Analyst believes this to be a huge threat to any company that wishes to launch a new Android-Based touchscreen device in Australia as it will likely face a potent Steve Jobs patent that leaves courts no choice but to bar companies in Australia. Just like Samsung, its Galaxy Tab 10.1 was already blacked in Australia and the later injunction just extended the period.

This was surely a huge setback for Samsung, as time goes by the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will get obselete and no one will buy it even if it clears next year. Not only Galaxy Tab 10.1 is effected , but also this patent will effect all Android-based smartphones and tablet computer, across all vendors.

Now at the end it seems Android is in great danger by Apple, and it will not be wrong to predict a tech war likely to happen. Apple seemingly has gone very far with these injunctions and it may face the music sometime as it also reportedly violates Samsung patents regarding 3G wireless technology. Lets hope these issues resolves in time because if all companies including the vendors and OS makers stood against Apple, then there might be trouble.
