Just days after an iPhone exploding during airplane landing in Australia, an iPhone 4 explodes in Brazil where the device was plugged in to charge overnight when it began to emit smoke and sparks as its owner slept nearby.
Mashable :-
Looks like Australia isn’t the only country to have seen an incident of a combustible iPhone 4 over the past week.
According to Brazilian media reports, the iPhone’s owner emerged unscathed but flustered. The device was made in France, where in 2009 a teenager claimed to have been hit in the eye with a glass splinter when his girlfriend’s iPhone began hissing — and its glass screen exploded.
This is becoming really embarrassing as no one would expect a iOS device with such a such an expensive price-tag to behave in such way. The 8GB iPhone 4 has the biggest price tag ranging over $900(data plan not included).
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau is still investigating the iPhone 4 that exploded the same way as this one did in Brazil. Hopefully this might be some manufacturing fault embedded in multiple devices.
The user of this phone in Brazil was just at the distance of 1 foot from the phone and if he had been sleeping any closer, it might have proven to be fatal.
Apple’s iOS buggy performance, battery issues, security issues, iPod burning issues and now iPhone exploding every now and then just goes to show you that iPhone may not be that worth it after all! .Lets see what the reports find out about the situation and keep your iPhone at a distance while its being charged.
