Today, Microsoft has announces that they have sold over 1.7 Million XBOX 360 units in U.S in November, making it the highest selling console for the month in the country.

Today, Microsoft announced that the Xbox 360 has closed another impressive month, strengthening its position in the current-generation console market with record sales of 1.7 million units in the U.S. in November, the only current-generation console to sell more than one million units, and nearly double the second-place console.
There were many factors contributing towards the huge sales, but the biggest one of them were top selling game titles which included COD : MW 3 , Battlefield 3, Assassins Creed: Revelations and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
On an international level, Nintendo’s Wii is the highest selling console with the XBOX 360 coming in the second place and Playstation 3 holding the third position. If however, only U.S is taken into consideration then Microsoft’s XBOX 360 holds the crown for the most selling console.
Microsoft haven’e shown any significant number of sales in its smartphone’s department but it has managed to score big with one of the most famous gaming consoles in history.
