Renowned iOS Hacker pod2g has confirmed via Twitter an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1 to be working on iPhone 4 just after 2 days of showing the possibility of the jailbreak.
This is the news that the jalibreakers around the world have been dying to know, as till now no other hacker has been successful in getting the magic done.
At this moment however, there is still no ETA for the grand public release of this jailbreak but it’s quite visible from this update that the jailbreak will hit the jailbreakers any day now after final touches.
We kept telling you to not update your firmware as it might not be safe for jailbreakers to do so but now go ahead and update your firmware and just wait for a short period of time for the most awaited untethered jailbreak.
Where everything is looking great but beware, if you are considering to preserve your baseband/Sim-Unlock than this update doesn’t apply so keep that in mind before considering to update the firmware.
