No More iPhone Sales In Argentina, Imports Banned To Counter Inflation

The iPhone sales in Argentina has been banned, not because of some lawsuit or anything but apparently the Government Of Argentina has decided that the imports of such devices is not good for the country’s economy so they should be banned.

Manuals.ws:-

The Argentinian Government have took some measures to reduce the inflation level andВ strengthen the Pesos / US dollar currency parity. One of them was to block the sales of certainВ electronics temporary, among them iPhone and BlackBerry phones.

Imports in a country affects foreign exchange which for a weak economic country cause price hike (inflation). The decision is justified in order to save the country from economic disaster.

The only way at the moment for Argentinean people to enjoy the iPhone is for Apple to build their manufacturing plant in Argentina or if someday Argentina becomes economically strong enough  then it might allow sales which seems much unlikely.

Other companies like Nokia, Motorola, Samsung etc have their manufacturing plants in Argentina and now Apple will most probably will have to join the league in order to capture the territory. Looks like until then, Samsung will rule the smartphone marketplace .
