Apple Is Celebrating iPhone’s 5 Years Of Glory Today

Today marks the 5th birthday of iPhone, the day when the icon Steve jobs unveiled iPhone at the MacWorld Expo exactly this day five years ago!. That was the day which that made a huge impact on Smartphone industry.

The iPhone’s Touch screen revolution changed the smartphone market back then and hence everybody started to idealize the touch beauty for their daily usage. In the presentation, Jobs compared the then giant smartphone devices with the emerging iPhone concept that took everybody’s attention.

The iPhone has changed a lot since then, with the 2G version running iOS 1.0 bringing an awesome UI experience. Then with the arrival of 3G version the next year which ran iOS 2.0 and first ever App Store was made available for iPhone. After these minor changes Apple stepped up its game and released iPhone 3GS in 2009 which was a significant improvement over the previous version as it came up with a better camera that shot decent videos and would be used for video calling.

After those versions, in 2010 Apple released iPhone 4 which was a complete redesign over the previous models. The device came up with the evolutionary Retina display that had beaten every display technology at the time. This version is till now a favorite among many iOS users as it is also one of the fastest single-core smartphone in the market today.

Finally who can forget the most popular iPhone 4S that released last year in October which came up with the voice assistant Siri that has already gotten its competitor’s attention.

Approximately 6.1 Million original iPhone devices were sold upon its release which itself describes the popularity of the iPhone. It was a new concept in the market which people loved and they had finally somewhere else to go as they were stuck with those sluggish smartphone models present at the time.

Happy birthday iPhone!, here is the presentation of Jobs that we talked which marked the first presence of the iPhone [Video].
