For jailbreakers, we have been recommending to update their iOS firmware to iOS 5.0.1 ASAP before Apple stops signing it but as for unlockers, a new report has been released which suggests that the users REMAIN on iOS 5 to ensure quick solution for unlocking their device.
iClarified :-
MuscleNerd has confirmed to iClarified that an untethered iPhone 4S jailbreak for iOS 5.0 will be released at the same time as the iOS 5.0.1 jailbreak, or a day or two later. As always, for those looking to unlock, it is standard operating procedure to stay at the lowest possible baseband.
So what for those unlucky ones who already updated to the latest firmware ??. Well the best thing you can do right now is to downgrade from iOS 5.0.1 build (9A406) to (9A405) to be the closest on getting the unlock solution.
No confirmed reports are their which could tell when the iOS 5 unlock solution will be released but there were several reports by MusclNerd last year which indicated the release of such solution in near future. Stay tuned for more updates.

downgrade from iOS 5.0.1 build (9A406) to (9A405) wont downgrade the baseband.. i did that and my baseband is still 1.0.13 ,,
