After having tremendous success with the GingerBread OS and the successful release of the fourth version of Android codename Ice Cream Sandwich, Google is rumored to released its next Android OS codename Jelly Bean no later than this year after the second quarter according to the Taiwan chain supply makers.
DigiTimes Reports :-
Viewing that the adoption of Android 4.0 has fallen short of original expectations and Microsoft will launch Windows 8 in the third quarter of 2012, Google is likely to launch Android 5.0 (Jelly Bean) in the second quarter and appeal for adopting Android 5.0 and Windows 8 in the same tablet PC, according to Taiwan-based supply chain makers.
The biggest feature reportedly includes Chrome OS integration for dual-boot tablets and notebooks. Google will most likely push Android 5.0 and Windows 8 hybrids to its manufacturing partners for notebooks/tablets.
This rumor might most likely be not true since Ice Cream Sandwich is a very new OS which is installed in relatively few devices as compared to the Gingerbread. Also the developers are sill focusing on the gingerbread OS as there is no official support for Ice Cream Sandwich for many devices until now. Even the big smartphones like Galaxy S2 etc, are yet to receive official Ice Cream Sandwich OS next month.
Until Ice Cream Sandwich gains popularity among the masses, introduction of the new OS is a terrible idea. Google is yet to respond to this rumor but its very unlikely to happen (considering the current scenario).
