Android Will Be The First OS To Get Official UTorrent App, Development In Progress

One of the things that any OS lacks at this time is an official torrent downloader due to which users have to rely on third party apps whom can’t be trusted much regarding the activity. Well the torrent downloaders on Android platform would be happy to learn that the official uTorrent app for the OS is in development phase, making Android to be the first and most probably the only platform to support an official Torrent app.

With over 140 million active users every month, uTorrent is the most used Bittorent client in the west. As there is no limit to expansion, the company behind uTorrent couldn’t find any better way than to expand their network through mobile platforms like Android.

Even though the native uTorrent support for Android is indeed in development phase there is no ETA for when it would be released. Seeing the dedication towards the development, it’s pretty sure that the app will ready for use in near future. Sadly enough, Apple users might not get a chance to see such desktop like Torrent downloader performance ever as Apple has very strict policy regarding Bittorent in terms of piracy.

The native uTorrent client is claimed to bring the same features and tools that you would see in the desktop/mac version. Stay tuned as we bring more updates that hit the web regarding the progress of its development.
