Good news Windows lovers as finally today Microsoft has finally released the most anticipated Windows 8 Consumer preview which is available for download in ISO format via official direct links for both 32 and 64 bit systems.
Lets walk through some new features this version brings :-
- OS-wide spell Check
- Start Button replacement with a Start Preview Thumbnail
- Introduction Of Flyout Notifications
- Boot Forward option that enable you to see boot menu prior restart.
About that last Boot forward feature, the thing is Microsoft has wroked real hard tomake boot time faster and it seems that the boot time is so fast that users might not get a chance to sneak into the boot menu when they turn on the system so they had an option that lets you choose from the desktop if you would like to see the boot menu after powering on the PC.
The developer preview of Windows 8 got tremendous attention as it got over 0.5 million download within an hour and over 3 million by December. Since this is Consumer preview it will definitely get more attention. Oh and just so you know before you download the copy of this version, you must have a legit copy of Windows 7 or Vista to install this consumer preview version on your system so the ones with the pirated copies will be deprived from getting it to run on their systems.
