The New iPad’s A5X Graphics Benchmarks Vs Nvidia’s Tegra 3

One thing that the new iPad was supposedly aimed to achieve was its A5x chip to beat the Android powered Nvidia’s Tegra 3 Chipset which caught everybody’s attention as the A5x had the same 1-Ghz dual core processor like its predecessor iPad 2.

During th eannouncement last week it as announced by the CEO and VP that the A5x chip will be much faster than the Nvidia’s Tegra 3. Well after initial testings, Apple’s claim might come somewhat true if not all of it. A new video posted by the Australian Tech blogger compares the performance of both the technologies i.e the new iPad and the Tegra-3 powered Asus Transformer Prime. check it out!.

While the Apple’s iPad had certainly better performance than the Transformer Prime but it didn’t seem to surpass the claimed 4x performance. Apple’s new A5X chip sports dual CPU cores and a quad-core graphics chip. Nvidia’s Tegra 3 sports a four-core CPU and 12 – count ‘em – graphics cores.

Maybe a little improvements over the CPU cores and increased frequency would have achieved the claimed 4X performance but Apple thinks otherwise. Let’s see how Nvidia counteracts this response from the Cupertino stronghold.
