The Apple’s tablet has once again shown its worth as a $15 Million yacht built by yacht designer John Shuttleworth in China, and owned by the extremely wealthy shipping billionaire Anto Marden, is not only good looking but its control system is designed to work with an iPad!.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, the boat comes complete with a remote control that works up to 50 meters away and, most importantly, that remote control is actually an Apple iPad which every tablet user in Europe uses.
About the name and build, the yacht name is Adastra which is built from glass and Kevlar and can house nine guests and six crewmen. The deck saloon has a panoramic view while the open cockpit has sofas on both sides. The open deck running aft also has a door that hinges out to create a bathing platform.
Maximum speed reached by the yacht is 22.5 knots and her range is an astonishing 4000 nautical miles at 17 knots. This is pretty impressive considering thee fact that this giant masterpiece is controlled wirelessly by a little tablet computer!.
Keeping up with this pace, cars, ships, tanks could all be controlled wirelessly in the future using the state of the art tech of the time and who knows, that little device could be an iPad.
