Pod2g Has Found Exploits In iOS 5.1 To Start Working On Jailbreak For iPhone 4S, iPad 2

It has been a while since we got any update regarding the jailbreak status of iOS 5.1. This latest iOS didn’t just came with improvements and bug fixes as this firmware update patched all the previous exploits that were used for the jailbreaking process.

After a long time of silence, the infamous iOS hacker responsible for iOS 5 jailbreak has updated the jailbreak community with a good news, he has finally bypassed the security constraints in the iOS 5.1 and has managed to find the necessary loop-holes that will get him started to begin the jailbreak making phase.

News: we have all exploits required to do a new jailbreak. I’m working on bypassing ASLR at bootup.

ASLR, which stands for Address Space Layout Randomization, is a complex security method which prevent exploits from taking control of the system. Once he has sorted this problem out, it will become easy for him to figure out the jailbreak.

However, even if this exploits phase is over, the final jailbreak solution will be moths away as now they are going through the alpha stage (dealing with the exploits and all). Lets hope the hackers are successful in getting the solution soon, since at the moment it’s not possible for iOS 5.1 users to downgrade.
