Finally!, Samsung has unveiled something regarding its next flagship Android Galaxy device. The rumors were right, Samsung Galaxy S3 will indeed be powered by a staggering 1.4 GHz Quad-Core processor which is called the Exynos 4 Quad and it’s based on the ARM Cortex A9 mobile processor.
Samsung says that this is the first processor built on High-k Metal Gate low-power process technology, and performs exceptionally well when it comes to multitasking, and resource-intensive tasks such as 3D gaming and even video editing.
Vice president of System LSI marketing Samsung Electronics, Taehoon Kim says:-
The quad-core processor offers phenomenal multitasking abilities surpassing any single or dual application processor. Since all the cores must share a single battery, the power management and efficiency in the limited battery capacity are indispensable for mobile computing devices.
Given the diverse functionalities consumers are demanding from their mobile devices today, the Exynos 4 Quad meets those high-performance needs while keeping power consumption very low.
The key features of the Exynos 4 Quad processor includes an HDMI 1.4 interface, Full HD 30 FPS video Codec, 1080p Video recording and embedded image processing for quality camera functionality. It’s also worth to know that size of this processor is the same as the Dual version of Exynos. Check out the video demonstration of the new Exynos prcessor.
Just few days are remaining till the official launch of the next big thing by Samsung. Let’s hope Samsung doesn’t disappoints its fans (till now things are looking pretty good).
