Even though the iOS tries its best to cope up with the requirements, for hardcore jailbreak users, a new tweak has emerged in the Cydia store named, Apple Killer Tweak, which is designed to allow jailbroken users some additional control over running processes on their device in the hope that it will keep either the iPhone or iPod touch running smoothly without you having to worry about low memory.
Upon installation, the tweak allows users to set the threshold limit for free memory. If the free memory reeaches below the threshold level, then the tweak makes sure provide iOS users the ulimate smooth performance by killing unimportant processes that are occupying ram.
Talking about its intelligence, this tweak does a very well job in determining which app to close. Apps like Pandora or the Music app that may not be on screen, but are still streaming music will be left alive. Additionally, applications that are tracking GPS positions or running any other specific background process will not be killed, making it quite an efficient memory handling utility.
Auto App Killer is available for $1.49 from the BigBoss repository and requires a jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 5 or above. Sadly, this tweak is not available for the iPad.
