If you’re an iOS user then you must probably be wondering if your current iOS device has a future in terms of jailbreak and that too the untethered one!. You’ll be glad to know that with the addition of iPhone 3GS and iPod 3G, almost every iOS device running iOS 5.1.1 would be able to get untethered jailbroken with the upcoming jailbreak tool ( most probably released by pod2g).
The iPhone 3GS and iPod 3G models were previously reported to not work with the exploits they have found in the iOS 5.1.1 but today their inclusion to the support list was announced by pod2g via Twitter.
Just in-case you’re wondering, following is the list of compatible iOS devices with the upcoming iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak :-
Devices that have been tested by pos2g to work with iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak:
- iPhone 4
- iPhone 4S
- iPad 1
- iPad 2 Wifi
- iPad 3 Wifi
