The Fruit giant (Apple) which is already sturggling against Android to gain supremancy in China is now trapped with more competition as Microsoft’s Windows Phone OS is claimed to have the biggest market-share in China.
Yes, you read it right!. Thanks to Nokia’s Lumia lineup, Windows Phone (the once dark horse) has come toe to toe with iOS and Android (around which the Battle Royale normally centered previously).
Despite the fact being that Windows Phone has always been seen as the third runner as it lacked apps and choice of devices, the irresitable Metro UI has been the backbone behind its success. This proves that the largest smartphone base users that resides in China doesn’t care about the jailbreaks and stuff, rather they get amused by the UI that is quite unique and beautiful in Windows Phone, heck it even got the first prize in terms of it UI this year!.
In terms of UI, Android’s user interface hasn’t been changed much even with the introduction of Ice Cream Sandwich. Whereas there might be hope for Apple which is set to launch it’s brand new iOS 6 and a new smartphone in coming months, they have the chance to win the hearts of Chinese (and everyone for that matter) to regain Supremacy which is seriously being doubted under Tim Cook’s reign.
