Microsoft Planning To Release Full Office Suite For iOS and Android In November

Previous rumors regarding Microsoft’s Office Suite coming to Mobile platforms have once again revived as the Boy Genius Report editor Jonathan Geller, based on a tip from “a reliable source”, has reported that Microsoft is currently planning to release the full Office suite for both Apple’s iPad and Android tablets some time in November of this year.

Additionally, our source has seen Microsoft Office running on an iPad first-hand and has said that it looks almost identical to the previous leak from The Daily a few months back, despite the fact that Microsoft flat out denied that the app was authentic.

Also, the rumor points to iOS and Android  rather than tablets which means it will most probably be released on Smartphones as well (Galaxy Note could come in handy!).

Interestingly enough, the mobile platforms discussed by the source doesn’t include Microsoft’s own Windows Phone 8 platform but straight away points to iOS and Android which makes this rumor a little senseless. If the Redmond giant is going to expand their Office Suite solution to Mobile platform, the obvious place to start would be their own Windows Phone platform which is suffering from poor market-share at the moment.

At the moment their is no official confirmation from Microsoft, judging by their silence it’s most unlikely it’ll release as soon as this year(atleast for iOS and Android).
