With Apple recently releasing iOS 5.0.2 for the Apple TV, Firecore also updated Seasonpass to provide untethered jailbreak support for ATV 5.0.2 and is now available for download as well.
The new version of AppleTV doesn’t bring new features, instead it just contains a bug fix related to parental control feature. This new version addresses an issue which caused content restrictions to be incorrectly applied for the iTunes Store in Australia.
Just in case you haven’t updated your Apple TV to the newer firmware version, you can do so by navigating through General > Software Update under the Settings Menu. You can also download the version by direct links (ATV2, ATV3).
For those of you haven’t updated to the new version of ATV, you can update without thinking twice as the new seasonpass version allows you to maintain jailbreak for your ATV device. However, if you’re an ATV 3 device owner, no matter on which firmware version you are on, you still can’t jailbreak it at the moment.
