Apple finally unveiled their new iOS version 6 at the WWDC 2012 event yesterday. The new firmware adds some improvements to the overall system and brings a lot of features which somewhat depict the jailbreak tweaks you have been using all this time, e.g: you can set a song as an alarm (yup, Apple finally figures out how to do it after 5 years!).
Still for non-jailbreakers, features like these means a lot to them and those who are stuck with the previous iOS version can’t stand to live in such limitations. Since the new iOS firmware version is still in beta phase, only registered developers have access to the official ipsw files but don’t worry, we have provided direct IPSW download links for all iOS device at the end of post.
Following are the devices which support the new iOS firmware :-
- iPhone 4S
- iPhone 4
- iPhone 3GS,
- iPod touch 4G,
- New iPad
- iPad 2
- iPad (wifi + cellular model)
Yup, the good old original iPad and 3rd gen iPod is not compatible with iOS 6 as of yet. However, in the next beta version of iO6 the iPad might get included. Alright now without any further ado, following are the download links :-

After you have downloaded the IPSW file goto (Option/Command + Upgrade) in iTunes 10.6.3 and your device would get upgraded. However, if you upgrade your device you won’t be able to downgrade as of yet so proceed with caution.
