The iPhone Dev Team has released an update to RedSnow, bringing it to version 0.9.13dev1 which now includes tethered jailbreak support for the newly released iOS 6 beta version, seeded to developers two days ago.

Despite the new iOS seeded to devs only, many users also got their hands on the IPSW but whereas jailbreak is currently concerned, those users are out of luck. This RedSnow version won’t hacktivate your iOS device and wouldn’t get Cydia installed either, which is the biggest reason for which jailbreak is performed in the first place.
The only thing you will have access to is SSH or afc2, which are certainly useful for those who know what they are doing (aka the developers). So it’s advised for normal users to stay away from jailbreaking iOS 6 beta version if they’re unable to understand the working of SSH/afc2 or if they rely on unlock.
Following are the devices for which this jailbreak is compatible:
- iPod touch 4G
- iPhone3GS
- iPhone4 (GSM)
- iPhone4 (CDMA)
