Earlier today, the iPhone dev team released an updated version of RedSnow which included tethered jailbreak support for iOS 6 beta on certain A4 and lower iOS devices. Since this jailbreak doesn’t hacktivate your iOS device and neither gets Cydia installed, this jailbreak is recommended for registered Apple developers only.

Following are the devices for which this jailbreak is compatible:
- iPod touch 4G
- iPhone3GS
- iPhone4 (GSM)
- iPhone4 (CDMA)
If you won one of the above mentioned device and are willing to jailbreak, then head below for the step by step guide.
How To Jailbreak iOS 6 Beta (Tethered) Using RedSnow 0.9.13dev1
Step 1: Run RedSn0w 0.9.13dev1. [Download Link]
Step 2: On the main screen, lick Extras > Select IPSW, and point to your iOS 6 firmware file for your device.
Step 3: Place your device into DFU mode and click jailbreak. RedSn0w will prompt you to Install SSH. Make sure that option is checked, and click Next. the jailbreak will proceed until completion.
Step 4: Once on device goes back to the Home screen, go back to RedSn0w and click Extras > Just boot. This will perform a tethered boot. You will need to place your device into DFU mode again to proceed.
Step 5: Once the tethered boot is completed, your device will go back to your Home screen.
That’s it!, your device is now jailbroken (sort of). You can now use SSH, or another iPhone file navigation utility to browse the default file structure and also allow you to install tweaks and stuff.
