After enjoying immense popularity on iOS and being released exclusively for Galaxy S3, Flipboard has finally been officially released for Android platform with some updated features.
Flipboard for Android looks much better than the iOS version. Yup, better than the iOS counterart, why?. Well since Android phones like Galaxy S3, One X etc have huge screens as compared to the tiny iPhone’s, it’s much well suited for larger, higher-resolution displays.
In term of new features, Flipboard adds support for content from Google+ and YouTube. The Flipboard team claims that the YouTube integration will give you the best browsing experience for YouTube. You can flip through your subscriptions, uploads and enjoy popular feeds like Trending Videos, from your Flipboard app. You can connect your Google+ account, see activity from different Circles, +1 posts, share them, or reply to them.
Flipboard comes with support for 5 new countries: Germany, Italy, Korea, the Netherlands, and Spain, in addition to the existing localizations for Japan, France, China, United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. In these countries, you can get fully translated articles, but also curated local news, while still being able to explore content from around the world.
So if yo;re the type of person that wants it all under on roof, then head over to the Play Store link if you want to try Flipboard. Oh and it’s free!
