One feature of iOS 6 that stands out is the new widget that includes a tap to Tweet (Twitter) and tap to Post (Facebook) functionality. Even though iOS 6 hasn’t been released publicly,you can add those widgets on your jailbroken iOS 5 device via a jailbreak tweak which allows you to have an exact replica of the iOS 6 Twitter widget.
This replicated version of Twitter widget is arguably somewhat better than the original one, since iOS 6 uses Twitter’s old logo and this jailbreak widget for iOS 5 uses Twitter’s new logo.
If you want to install this tweak, go to Cydia and tap Search, simply type iOS 6 Twitter Widget and install the tweak. Enable the widget via the Notifications section in the iPhone’s Settings app. Once enabled, you’ll see a new widget in your Notification Center that highly resembles what you’ll find in an iOS 6 beta installation. You can configure the tweak in Settings app after installation.
If you’re constant tweeter then iOS 6 Twitter is a must have tweak as you wouldn’t have to go through the Home Screen to find the Twitter app. It’s amazing to have an iOS 6 feature without firmware update on your iOS device. Let’s hope the Facebook counterpart/mockup gets released soon.
