With Google’s Chrome becoming the No.1 app on the App Store, many iOS users are riddled with the question that if its faster/better than Apple’s built-in Safari web browser or not. While it can be easily said that Chrome is much better than Safari in terms of features but when it comes to speed, its speed is almost the same.
The only reason why Google Chrome can’t show its full potential (as it does on a computer) is because Apple doesn’t allow Chrome or any other web browser to access the Nitro engine which is the main asset to be used in web browsing.
So leaving behind that Nitro Engine, is the Chrome browser still worth it to use in everyday life? Well the initial test done by people suggest that Chrome is equal to (if not better) Safari in terms of fast performance. Check out the videos below.
This test shown above doesn’t account for official stats but still it gives clear indication that Google’s Chrome isn’t infact a tortoise when compared to Safari. This performance is done on the stock iOS versions, if it were to be done on jailbroken iOS device, the experience would be much greater than this as it would have Nitro Engine access.
