Samsung Galaxy Nexus Sales Temporarily Banned In US, Courtesy: Apple

There have been lots of jabber regarding stupid lawsuits prevailing among smartphone companies (With Apple being the bully) which quite frankly doesn’t deserve any coverage anymore. However, Apple’s recent lawsuit action might be of some worth to those excited Android users willing to buy the Galaxy Nexus smartphone (yup, for Jelly Bean OS).

So what about it?, well as the post’s title suggests your beloved Android device sales have been banned in the US over claimed iPhone technologies theft. The legal dispute is centered around four patents which the company holds, with more attention being focused on patent number 8086604, which is basically a way of searching for information that is held in a centralized database, as well as the slide to unlock patent.

Friday’s decision, by U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh in San Jose, California, comes days after she also slapped a pre-trial ban on sales of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1, a tablet computer that runs on Google Inc’s (GOOG.O) Android and goes toe-to-toe with the iPad.

Android 4.1 a.k.a Jelly Bean was the main reason for the push of Galaxy Nexus sales as other vendors would take much long to port the new OS to their Android devices. Now it looks like it won’t be the case anymore, unless offcourse Samsung re-appeals the judge’s decision.
