After the first ever Phablet (Galaxy Note) making it first appearance in September 2011 during the IFA trade show, the highly rumored 2nd generation Note has been hugely expected to be announced later this year to overcome excitement of the upcoming iPhone.
According to new reports, the next-gen Phablet is expected to be announced at a special Unpacked mobile event on August 30, a day before IFA 2012 kicks off, and the star of the show is without a doubt the next-gen phablet.
The news came from Asia where DDaily reports that the South Korean Android device manufacturer has scheduled a second episode of Mobile Unpack Event for the year 2012t for August 30 and the event is already confirmed – it will take place in Berlin at 7:00 PM local time.
Further the reports suggests that 2nd-gen Note will feature a 5.5-inch touchscreen display, 0.2-inch bigger than its predecessor, but it will have a smaller bezel. The device will reportedly sport a quad-core processor made by Samsung, most likely the Exynos 4 Quad CPU that’s also used by the Galaxy S3, S Pen support and 3G and 4G LTE connectivity and most likely will come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
Previous rumors suggested that Galaxy Note 2 will release in September/October, a time at which the next-gen iPhone is also speculated to release. With that in mind, this unveil event makes much sense to keep the users interested for the “Next Big Thing”. Stay tuned for more updates.
