Apple with its tremendous Lawsuits-Infringement winning streak against Samsung over the years made the Cupertino giant to believe that it would bully its way towards anything it wants (no matter how ridiculous it may be). After a long time Apple finally lost a battle with Samsung over Galaxy Tab design lawsuit earlier this month but there has been arisen yet another interesting development to this story that may make Apple cry!.
To teach Apple a painful lesson to not waste precious time of courts by bringing up ridiculous lawsuits, Judge Birss ordered the Cupertino-based maker of the iPad to publicly acknowledge that Samsung has not copied its designs when making the Galaxy Tab.
For that, Apple will have to publish the announcement on their UK website and keep it live for six months. Also, they will have to publish the same acknowledgement in several British newspapers and magazines. Pretty good right?, this will not only make Samsung more popular among iOS users but will also hurt Apple’s PR to a huge extent which isn’t a good thing, considering the fact that Apple is set to release the next-gen iPhone device in the coming months.
It’s obvious that the Fruit giant will not obey what court’s decision and will look for another way to tackle this problem, maybe it’ time for both the companies to have a meet up and settle things under the table.
