While making a decision to choose between Galaxy S3 or the iPhone 4S, now you can add radiation into the equation as well. The company behind the radiation measurement app Tawkon has released an infograph which suggests that the Android flagship smartphone is three times more eco-friendly as compared to the Apple’s latest iOS device when it comes to radiation. Following is the detailed analysis.
As you can see from the chart, Apple’s 4S was the second highest offender with a SAR level of 1.11 w/kg, tripling that of the Samsung Galaxy S III which had a SAR score of just 0.34 w/kg. It’s actually comforting to know that Samsung’s eco-friendly Exynos stuff really paid off.
The radiation debate has been running wild ever-since use of smartphones came into mainstream. With the most common verdict stressed upon Cancer taking place as a result of exposure to radiation, users can now atleast avoid from buying the poorly made iOS device.
Even though the standard level of radiation set by FCC is greater than these devices, it’s always better for those health conscious users to stick with less damaging alternatives. Still, these results might not be that accurate as others might have different opinions. With iPhone 4S once again threatened in a sensitive matter, expect a huge follow-up towards this issue in near-future.
