Android folks can now rejoice and stop envying iOS users for getting latest games before them, as the newly released Console-quality, Zombie Themed FPS title ” Dead Trigger” has been made free to download for Android users, available via Google Play.
Just incase you haven’t heard about the game, Dead Trigger, by Madfinger Games, is one of the top games available on the Google Play Store which as a zombie-themed FPS (first person shooter) taht boasts amazing graphics, full 3D characters and environments, and high quality audio and soundtrack (which can turn out to be quite scary sometimes).
So what’s the reason behind this generosity?, well it was PIRACY that forced them to make this decision. Following is what they said on their official Facebook Fanpage :-
piracy rate on Android devices, that was unbelievably high. At first we intend to make this game available for as many people as possible – that’s why it was for as little as buck. – It was much less than 8$ for SHADOWGUN but on the other hand we didn’t dare to provide it for free, since we hadn’t got XP with free-to-play format so far. -
However, even for one buck, the piracy rate is soooo giant, that we finally decided to provide DEAD TRIGGER for free. Anyway – DEAD TRIGGER is not FREEMIUM, it always was and still remains FREE-TO-PLAY, that means, all players are able to play it without IAP! We stand up for this statement, because all members of our team are playing (and enjoying) DEAD TRIGGER without IAP.
The timing of this app getting free couldn’t be better, since the title has been updated with numerous new features that’ll blow your mind!. Following are the new features :-
- New Weapons: Chain Saw, Lewis Machine Gun, Marine Engine with blades, and an American West rifle.
- New Gadget: Head-Flator X100 to inflate the heads of zombies to XXXL size.
- New zombies: mutated mobsters or armoured SWAT members.
- New environments: underground car park or secret research base.
- Survival arena, that is tailor-made for massacre of hordes of zombies.
- Daily rewards.
- Casino: to try your luck with a slot machine.
- Save game data with cross-platform cloud backup.
- Support for Adreno 205, including Sony Xperia Play.
Like other games, Dead Trigger also features in-app purchases though which you can get shiny new weapons and stuff earlier than usual. The gameplay spans around 40 hours of zombified horror which would keep you entertained for much time. Offcourse you can still play it even though you have completed the story, one of the advantages that FPS holds!.
