With HTC failing to keep its smartphone lineup stable by releasing too many handsets in a year, thus failing to give its devices some recognition like Samsung with its Galaxy S series, the Taiwanese Smartphone giant has been seeing its fortunes fade over the past year.
Along with some countries, HTC has now stopped its smartphone sales in South Korea. Even though HTC did pick up some momentum with its high-end ONE series, the Taiwanese got beat at the hands of tough competition put in place by Samsung with its most popular Galaxy S3 smartphone.
This is indeed equivalent to HTC throwing in the towel and admitting that it can’t compete with the local players and Apple. HTC had barely left a mark on South Korea due to its own neligence and facing tough competition at the hands of Korean giant Samsung.
Only hope for HTC now is the Asian market in which HTC’s ONE series has gained much popularity, lets hope it doesn’t screw it up again like before.
