Samsung Is Working On First Ever Dual-Core Windows 8 Phones

With Samsung being on the top of the Android platform, it looks like it want domination over other platforms as well. As revealed by Court documents submitted as part of Samsung’s case against Apple in US,  have given way to two unannounced Windows 8 devices from Samsung. Codenamed ‘Odyssey’ and ‘Marco,’ both devices are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon MSM8960 dual-core 1.5GHz CPU.

Samsung’s Odyssey device will reportedly feature a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED display with HD resolution and an 8-megapixel rear camera and NFC enabled. The Marco will include a 4-inch S-AMOLED display with WVGA resolution and a 5-megapixel rear camera. Both handsets will be LTE-capable and, if the documents are up-to-date, appear to be launching in Q4 2012

Considering how polished the Windows Phone platform is, it would be very interesting to know the performance of Windows powered mobiles device with other popular rivals. We’ll keep you posted when we hear more regarding the situation.
