Just after few days of iPhone 5′s launch, CNET reported that the iPhone 5 scores higher in benchmarks then the Samsung Galaxy S III. This news came to as a shock for all Samsung fans, as GS3 despite having Quad-Core processor couldn’t match iPhone’s dual-core processor.
Well, all the Galaxy fans would be happy to know that those results were absolutely incorrect!. Previously it was reported that Samsung Galaxy S III scored 1588 on geekbench and the iPhone 5 scored 1602 but both the scores are wrong!.
In reality the iPhone 5 scores 1590 instead of 1602 and Galaxy S3 scores an impressive 1766 instead of 1588. Check screenshots below :-
So there you have it!, it seems like Galaxy S3 remains at the top of Smartphone chain at the moment. Also Galaxy S3 is yet to receive Jelly Bean update that is supposed to improve GS3′s performance even more!. Let’s see to what an extent S3′s potential goes.

What you’re not explaining to people are the 4 categories the TOTAL SCORE list you’ve displayed are based on, 2 are processor, 2 are memory. The iPhone 5 dual core A6 processor, BLOWS AWAY every Android on the market, where the only advantage the Galaxy S3 has is in MEMORY BANDWIDTH, so you can keep all your apps open in the background if you’re too lazy to close them, but they won’t run as fast.
You’re right, S3 has tremendous memory management which is great for mutil-tasking but here overall Geekbench scores are in consideration (which were falsely reported before) so there you have it!.
Ok, first of all, get a dictionary. You obviously have no idea what the word “decimate” means. Second, Interesting how you cherry pick the one thing that GS3 prevails in. In EVERY other performance measure, the iphone 5 blows the GS3 away.
