Considering to buy the latest Galaxy Note 2 ?, wondering if the Corning’s Gorilla Glass 2 performance is the same as that of Galaxy S3? , well… apparently the guys from AndroidAuthority conducted a drop test of the latest phablet and the result tuned out to be quite better than Galaxy S3, see for your self below :-
While the Phablet’s drops really weren’t aimed towards the screen, Note 2 managed to come out without any damage to screen despite taking harsh impacts on its corners. This really is a big deal though as Galaxy S3 couldn’t withstand such an impact from corners as it resulted in massive screen damage.

Also it was advertised before that the new Corning’s Gorilla Glass 2 was not only thinner but also as strong as the first-gen Gorilla Glass but with the Galaxy S3′s drop test in consideration that claim was seriously shot down as the Glass’s performace in S3 turned out to be really bad. Check the video below
With both the videos, we can safely say that it’s not the Glass that only matters in terms of performance, the design of the smartphone matters hugely as well. Albeit Galaxy Note’s 2 drop wasn’t aimed towards screen, the results were quite impressive than S3. I guess we’ll know more about the build quality of the phablet when we’ve seen more aggressive drop tests but for now, you can safely assume Note 2′s build quality to be on par with previous gen Note and S2 devices.
