Official Jelly Bean (JB) Update For Galaxy S2 Confirmed To Get Released in November

While Samsung came out of the curtains and announced official Jelly Bean update for previous generation galaxy devices, the Korean giant has been quite silent regarding official announcement of Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S2. Finally you’ll be happy to know that Samsung has confirmed official Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S2, slated for release in November.

Samsung Sweden has confirmed to update the Galaxy S II to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in November and also confirmed to update the Galaxy Note in Q4. Considering that we’re already in the fourth quarter of the year, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the Galaxy S2 receive the update at some point next month, with the phablet and tablet to receive it after the handset.

According to Samsung Sweden, the Jelly Bean updates will be available over-the-air or via KIES,although when the update comes, direct links would get available pretty soon and you’ll be able to flash using tools like Odin if you won’t be able to wait for the update to come to your region.

Following are the expected new features added in Jelly Bean update :-

  •  Better performance, thanks to Project Butter it’s even smoother and faster
  • Reorganized settings menu
  • 2 Home screen modes
  • New Notifications bar
  • Google Now
  • Sizable Pop-up play screen

We’ll keep you updated regarding the matter when we hear more regarding the issue.
